About Eve

Eve was founded by serial entrepreneur Nick Bortot. After years of building successful financial services companies in The Netherlands, Nick, his lovely wife, and their three kids decided to head to Thailand to take a well-deserved break. Falling head over heels for the country’s tropical beauty, they settled down in Layan, Phuket. As an environmentally conscious entrepreneur, Nick couldn’t help but notice that Thailand was lagging behind the rest of the world in terms of electric vehicle adoption.

Determined to make a difference and reduce pollution in his new home, he created Eve – which is not only short for Electric Vehicle but also refers to Eve from the Garden of Eden: Nick knew that by promoting and enabling people to drive electric, Thailand could be preserved as a tropical paradise for generations to come. Having experienced the stress and expense of owning an EV in Thailand himself, Nick recognized a growing demand for short-term leasing options. He also saw an opportunity to help hotels transition to carbon neutrality by offering eco-friendly transportation solutions for their guests and staff. Nick’s vision for the future is one where the majority of all vehicles in Thailand are electric, and he hopes that Eve will be a driving force in making that dream a reality.
